Beginning in 2006, and ending in 2007, was this 7 month masterpiece. An extravagant 3 story / Basement Walkout home on Brentwood Court in Minnow Lake.
One of the most complicated builds in this area, this incredible home is a must see for anyone thinking of custom builds.

Many tiny practical details go into designing a successful modern home, and one of them is the social aspect. Today's modern type homes are all about space. This home is no different. With its 10ft ceilings on the main floor, and its open concept design connecting the kitchen living room and dining room, this home is a perfect example of a
modern spacious social design. Whether you are preparing dinner in the kitchen
or just relaxing in the sitting area, the social aspect of this design was
integral to the homeowners allowing constant communication wherever you are on main floor. And with plenty of space, you can easily entertain a room full of guests or just spend a quiet evening with the family. Through the main octagon bay in the back is a double garden door which will lead to the 2 story deck, taking you down to the back yard.
There are plenty of big beautiful windows in this area, letting in plenty of natural light as you enjoy this spacious, social area on the main floor.
The kitchen has beautiful mocha cabinets with a solid granite countertop pulling the solid cork flooring system and cabinetry together perfectly. The cabinet design has a perfect mix of feathered glass doors, breaking up the continuous look of the solid Maple cabinetry. It features 2 sinks, a small round preparation sink, and a double sink located in the island facing the breakfast stools, again allowing constant communication with your
guests or family. The rounded island in conjunction with the near by sitting area is also plenty big enough, for a casual gathering of friends, never isolating the cook from the guests. The cork floor adds an exotic look, and is completely durable to scuffs and scratches. And to complete the look are strips of marble thresh-holds connecting the cork flooring of the kitchen and the Bamboo hardwood throughout.
This kitchen design, and look is a must-see for anyone thinking of building a modern home that is spacious yet very efficient.
The centerpiece to this
magnificent home is definitely the staircase. This handcrafted solid maple staircase winds up from the main floor connecting 3 different elevations, the main floor, the master bedroom, and finally the top floor.
It is constructed of solid maple wood, with beautiful black metal spindles, and hand-crafted
architectural railing and posts. It hugs a radius curved Venetian plastered wall, giving an elegant feel as you wind down the staircase. It truly is breathtaking when you walk into the home and you see this tremendous staircase connecting each elevation.
The master bedroom in this home, truly earns its name as master.
Built on an elevation all by itself, the staircase first lets you off onto the level of your master bedroom. You stand in front of beautiful double
french doors leading into the master bedroom.
This room is even further spaciously designed with magnificent 12ft ceilings, and a beautiful cantilevered octagon bay extending out from the house. It has beautiful full length windows looking out to the
cul-de-sac below. There are 2 steps up to the Walk-in closet which has plenty of room for anyone's wardrobe.
The master bathroom is another elegant yet simple feature of this home. Again space and relaxation were driving forces behind its elegant yet simple design. The mix of dark fixtures with a lighter floor and wall color, and the tremendous 12 ft ceilings, gives the homeowner a complete relaxing feeling as they soak in the self standing bathtub. The floor and shower insert of this bathroom are made of an exotic imported ceramic tile. The old style free-standing bathtub, along with the dresser style vanity and free-floating sink, gives the master bath an elegant yet historic look and feel.

One of the highlights of this home is the exotic and detailed flooring
system selected.
Whether it be the cork system in the kitchen or bamboo for the hardwood, or the imported exotic tile system, the quality and detail taken in the installation is something that separates MSKV from the rest. A planned symmetrical installation is just as important as selecting the materials. Planned thresholds, and direction changes are key to a high-quality build.
